About BlockBuddy

A field guide for Minecraft players

BlockBuddy brings focused Minecraft utilities together in one browser-based website. Its purpose is to make common lookup and planning tasks easier while being clear about the data behind each result and the limits of each tool. The site does not require an account.

Tools for seeds, items, and coordinates

Calculations are designed to run in the browser. Seed values are processed locally, and searches use catalog data served from the same site. See the Privacy Policy for the details currently confirmed by the application.

• World Seed Explorer — explore supported Java biome samples, biome-viable structure candidates, and slime chunks. Bedrock world generation is not supported, and recent versions may have slime-chunk-only results.
• Item Wiki & Recipe Finder — search Java and Bedrock registry snapshots and inspect item properties that exist in the source data. Recorded recipes are Java-only for the selected dataset.
• Coordinate Tools — convert Overworld and Nether horizontal coordinates using the 8:1 scale and calculate straight horizontal distance.

BlockBuddy is an independent, unofficial project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. The site aims to label unsupported versions and missing source data rather than invent results. For current feature coverage, visit the project status page.
