This catalog enumerates registry entries, not only survival-obtainable items. Some source entries are technical, creative-only, legacy, or not fully classified; these remain labeled rather than being presented as obtainable. It does not enumerate arbitrary potion effects, enchantments, names, or other player-created combinations.
Minecraft crafting recipes and item information
Use this source-backed Minecraft item database to search 2,156 Java and Bedrock registry records and inspect the Java crafting recipes included in the selected data snapshot.
Search the Minecraft item list
The catalog brings together 2,156 canonical identifiers from the pinned minecraft-data source snapshots: Java 26.1 and Bedrock 1.26.60. Enter a display name, exact registry ID, or related metadata in the search field. Use the edition and source-version selectors when you need to distinguish similarly named records. The live result count updates as you search and filter.
The full catalog loads from the site’s JSON index when needed; the first screen starts with a smaller set of item cards. Category, subcategory, and variant-family filters help narrow the results, and sorting can organize the remaining records by name, identifier, or maximum stack size. Select an item card to open its individual record.
Read edition-specific item information
An item page separates each available edition record instead of merging every property into a single ambiguous entry. Depending on the source, it can show the registry ID, source display name, maximum stack size, durability, enchantment categories, repair materials, and Java food metadata. A property appears only when the selected source provides it. Java and Bedrock can use separate numeric IDs and version records.
The database is a registry index, not a guarantee of survival availability. It includes technical, legacy, creative-only, and unclassified records where present. Categories and subcategories are BlockBuddy’s derived browsing taxonomy. The catalog does not infer acquisition steps, player-created item variants, or descriptions that are missing from its data source.
Find crafting recipes in the source data
Use the Minecraft recipe finder to search item outputs with a recipe recorded in the selected dataset. The current source provides Java recipe data; it does not include a Bedrock recipe inventory. An item without a displayed recipe may be obtained by another mechanic, may have no recipe in this snapshot, or may not have recipe data included. BlockBuddy does not guess which explanation applies.
When an item has a recorded Java recipe, its detail page shows the ingredient arrangement when the source provides a shaped grid, along with the output count. Ingredient sprites link to their own catalog records when available. For outputs with multiple recipes, the first is shown immediately and the remaining source records are available in an expandable list.
Understand crafting grids and stations
A shaped recipe places ingredients into specific cells, so blank spaces and arrangement matter. A shapeless recipe depends on the listed ingredients rather than a fixed pattern. The item detail page visualizes the recorded grid for shaped recipes and provides an ingredient list when the source record does not include a grid. Output quantities are shown from the recipe record.
Recipe records come directly from the selected Java source and are not a complete crafting guide for every Minecraft edition or version. Do not treat a missing station label as evidence that a recipe uses a particular workstation. The current catalog normalizes the source’s available crafting recipes; it does not synthesize Bedrock recipes or alternate recipes absent from that source.
Browse related records and exact references
Related-item links connect ingredients, repair materials, and members of a recognized variant family to their own pages. Use them to follow a recipe’s ingredient trail or compare edition registrations. Item images may differ from official in-game textures; open the external Minecraft Wiki reference from an item page when you need to compare the exact appearance.
The catalog is designed to make source coverage visible. Its counts identify the pinned inventory snapshots, not the latest possible release or a claim that every possible item configuration is separately listed. For seed-based world planning, visit the Java Minecraft Seed Explorer. For coordinate conversions and Nether travel arithmetic, use the Overworld and Nether calculator.
Quick answers
FAQ · Minecraft item wiki and recipes
Answers about searching the item catalog, source versions, and recipe coverage.
How do I find a Minecraft crafting recipe?
Search by output item on the crafting recipe finder or open an item page. A diagram appears when the selected source records a Java recipe; Bedrock recipes are not included in this dataset.
How do I search for a Minecraft item?
Enter part or all of an item name, block name, or registry ID. Filter results by edition, source version, category, subcategory, or variant family.
How does the Minecraft crafting grid work?
A shaped recipe uses specific ingredient positions and empty cells in the displayed grid. If the source provides no grid, the item page lists ingredients instead. Recipe diagrams show the first recorded recipe when an item has several.
Are Minecraft Java and Bedrock recipes different?
Recipes can differ by edition and version. BlockBuddy’s selected dataset includes Java recipes only; it has no Bedrock recipe inventory, so Bedrock recipes are not shown or inferred.
Which crafting stations are supported?
The item pages show recipe ingredients and a grid when the source provides one, but BlockBuddy does not currently label or filter recipes by crafting station. The available recipe source is for Java Edition.
How can I find out how to obtain a Minecraft item?
Open the item page to see its recorded recipe and source-provided properties. The catalog does not include general acquisition methods, and a missing recipe does not establish how the item is obtained or whether it is obtainable in survival.
